New Mitsubishi Grandis Facelift 2008 model Available Soon

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) will launch the new facelift Grandis MPV at its nationwide showrooms by the end of Sept 2007.

Already a stunning looking MPV, the sporty and innovative Mitsubishi Grandis will make an even bigger statement whilst also delivering better values and satisfaction.

“Designed to be sleeker and futuristic, it’s newly designed front grille, front bumper and fog lamp will surely win favour with many. With superb ergonomics, easy storage and a first-rate drive, this new Grandis is set to attract the needs of today’s MPV customers,” said Mr Fumihiko Minami, Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.

The Grandis is powered by the new 2.4L MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control) engine capable of a max. output of 165PS (121kW) at 6000rpm and peak torque of 217Nm (22.1kg-m) at 4000rpm. Mated to an INVECS-II (Intelligent & Innovative Vehicles Electronic Control System) with Sport Mode 4-speed automatic transmission, the gearbox delivers the feel of manual shifting with the convenience of an automatic.

Fully imported (CBU) from Japan, its comprehensive list of standard features includes power steering, power windows, retractable exterior mirrors, fully automatic air conditioning, dual SRS airbags, corner sensor, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body, ETACS (Electronic Time and Alarm Control System), multiple storage areas, and an extremely flexible three-row seating arrangement.

Priced at RM158, 629.80 (on the road without insurance), the new Grandis offers an impressive list of standard specification including a DVD entertainment system with 8” LCD monitor and 17” alloy wheel.

Colours available are Black Mica, Cool Silver, Medium Purplish-Grey Mica and White Pearl.

tested this morning, found that its just a basic function (means no multi display function like Lancer GT), and when you pushing hard you may hear the engine noise very clearly.
one important thing is it is not a leather seat.

overall, the car is not luxury at all, but with 2.4L RM163K on the road plus free maintenance, its look little great.
