NST-CBT Car of the Year 2008: May the best car wins!

This is the seventh year Cars.Bikes.Trucks has organised the Car of the Year (COTY) and being the first, the CBT team had surely gained a lot of experience to make the event better than the previous years.

For this year, the list of judges has grown and CBT have invited a few judges from other industries. This is done because cars are designed not only for car nuts, but for everyone. Including those not from the motoring industry will shade new perspectives in the COTY judging process.

As usual, only new models or those with significant updates (facelifts which includes technical changes, revision of pricing or ownership of the brand) can enter the COTY. Judges will have to get acquainted to all the nominees and with more than 60 cars, this can be quite a challenge.

Winners will be announced during the official event dinner on 27th November 2008.

Why is it that the Peugeot 308GT gets to be nominated twice (no. 4 and no. 7) in the Performance Car (below RM 300,000) category? :)

Errr...to double its chances of clinching COTY 2008 for that category?

Thanks for pointing out the typo! ;)

Hope CBT does the same. Else people might start to think the COTY 2008 is another Naza event. Hihi.

i think the 207cc should be in premium small car section. it is definitely no sportscar. it's a boulevardier where it works best at low speeds cruising through the night spots and allowing the driver and his/her pretty friend to listen to the wolf whistles that accompany. it is definitely not one to carve the hills like what the miata does even though both are convertibles.

i think the 308gt was entered twice accidently by dr. long.
